Foreskin Restoration: My Story and the Start of my Journey

Before getting into "How", I feel that I need to give some background as to "Why".
I was born in January of 1976, slightly underweight due to being about a month premature. Although I was a small baby, I was healthy. At that time in America, routine infant circumcision was way more common than it is now. If you were born male, more than likely, before you were brought home, you were cut. I was cut at three weeks after gaining enough weight to more safely undergo the operation. There were no immediate complications and I healed without any issues. I didn't even know that I was circumcised until I was 13.
My complications started around age 14-15. So much skin had been removed from the ventral surface of my penis, that erections were painful, tight, and curved downward. I was left with maybe 1/3 inch of shaft skin. By my early 20s, my body had compensated for this lack of skin by pulling my scrotum up onto my shaft. The curvature was less severe and no longer painful. I started doing research online and I read about how much is taken away when a man has been cut. I also read that foreskin restoration was possible. I tried for a few weeks, then just gave up.
I became sexually active 5 years later. I had lost so much feeling that sex was depressing. My glans had become keratinized, coated in a thicker layer of "skin". I knew I had to do something about it, and so I decided to start restoring. Having so little skin remaining presented some serious challenges. I started restoring using manual stretching techniques and wearing a ring of breathable medical tape to hold what skin I had forward. Over the years, I've used various devices and techniques. All of which I will detail in future blog posts.
Foreskin restoration does work! For me, the benefits have been life-changing. My only regret is that I wish I'd known this was possible when I was 12. But, such is life.
